Yarde Metals is looking for a Class A Driver to join our Fleet & Operations Team. A Class A Truck Driver safely operates a commercial truck to transport and deliver material to customers. This position will travel from our Connecticut location to either our Pennsylvania or New York locations and back. HOME DAILY!

Job Responsibilities
- SAFETY FIRST!
- Safely operate a commercial vehicle.
- Load and unload material.
- Secure loads and assure they are within weight limits.
- Verify material condition and quantities during the loading/unloading process.
- Report vehicle maintenance needs.
- Report overages, shortages, and damaged material.
- Assist with loading and unloading material at points of delivery and pickup
- Comply with DOT/FMCSA regulations.
- Maintain a clean driving record.
- Perform additional tasks as directed by supervisor or group leader.
- Represent the company in a professional and courteous manner.

- High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
- Valid, current Class A driver's license and medical card.
- Clean MVR.
- Must be able to operate an automatic transmission.
- Six months minimum CDL driving experience strongly preferred.
- Ability to pass a background check, drug screen, physical, and meet the physical requirements of the position.
- Ability to pass a human performance evaluation to meet the physical requirements of the job (lifting, pushing, pulling up to 70 lbs. etc.)
- Willingness to work required overtime.
