JOB SUMMARY
The Regional AR/AP Manager is the region’s quality and escalation expert for receivables and payables. You make sure what the branches bill is right, what customers pay is applied quickly and correctly, and what the region buys and pays follows policy. Branch Administrators turn to you for anything tricky, and you pass the oldest and largest balances up to the Regional Administrator.
You report to the Regional Administrator, keep a dotted line to the VP of Finance for finance policy, standards and reporting, and work closely with Corporate Accounting, Corporate AR and Corporate AP. Your dashboard shows every branch in your region side by side.
This role covers two tracks, Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable, each with its own responsibilities and measures.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
Core (both tracks)
• Minimum of five years of relevant accounting experience, including accounts receivable, collections and accounts payable.
• High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business or a related field preferred.
• Ability to use accounting systems and Microsoft Excel; experience with Aspire, BILL.com or Intacct preferred.
• Strong organization, time management, problem-solving and attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to coordinate meetings, coach others and resolve issues with employees, clients and vendors.
• Comfort working from a dashboard and acting on what it shows.
• Integrity, sound judgment and discretion in handling confidential financial and business information.
Accounts Receivable track
• Knowledge of accounts receivable and collection techniques, cash application and general ledger processes.
Accounts Payable track
• Knowledge of accounts payable processing, vendor and subcontractor compliance, and account reconciliation.
WORK ENVIRONMENT, PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND TRAVEL
This position is exposed to a normal office environment. Regular travel to branches in the region is expected.
