Landscape Laborer

Position Overview:

We are seeking a trustworthy and experienced Landscape laborer to join our field operations team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in landscaping, excellent leadership skills, and a commitment to quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install Xeriscape Features: Assist in setting up drought-resistant landscaping elements, including decorative gravel, crushed rock, and native plants.
• Construct Hardscape Elements: Help build pathways, patios, retaining walls, and other structures using materials like pavers and natural stone.
• Operate Landscaping Equipment: Use tools such as wheelbarrows, shovels, rakes, and compactors safely and effectively.
• Maintain Work Sites: Ensure job sites are clean and organized, removing debris and preparing areas for new installations.
• Assist with Irrigation Setup: Support the installation of efficient irrigation systems, like drip lines, suitable for arid environments.
• Follow Safety Protocols: Adhere to all safety guidelines and use personal protective equipment as required.
• Support Team Members: Collaborate with the landscaping team to complete projects efficiently and to company standards.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in landscape maintenance or construction
• Proven leadership experience in a supervisory role
• Valid New Mexico driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Knowledge of landscaping, irrigation systems, and landscape construction techniques
• Ability to read and interpret landscape plans and blueprints
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification in landscape management
• Experience with landscape design
• OSHA safety certification

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 50 per week

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
• Overtime
