Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking individual to be a part of our Farming Operation. In this role, you will be responsible for various tasks that contribute to the efficient operation of the farm. This position requires integrity, physical stamina, attention to detail, and knowledge of agricultural practices. You will work supervised and alone to ensure completion of tasks related to crop production, farm maintenance, and machinery maintenance.
Duties
- Assist in the planting, cultivating, and harvesting of crops.
- Be responsible for completion of assigned tasks.
- Maintain equipment and machinery used in farming operations.
- Perform heavy lifting tasks as required for planting and harvesting.
- Operate farm machinery safely and efficiently.
- Conduct repairs on equipment using hand tools and power tools.
- Transport crops using tractor trailers.
- Utilize forklifts for transporting materials around the farm.
- Monitor crop growth and report any issues.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Skills
- Mechanical capabilities to maintain equipment and perform repairs.
- Knowledge of growing practices for various crops is beneficial.
- Physical capability for heavy lifting and outdoor work in varying weather conditions.
- Proficiency in operating farm machinery, including tractors, tractor trailers, combines, sprayers, & excavators.
- Familiarity with basic math for applying fertilizers and chemicals.
- Competence in using hand tools and power tools safely.
