Summary/Objective
The Human Resources Coordinator supports a work environment where fairness, equality, and inclusive practices are the standard. This role is responsible for ensuring that HR policies and procedures are accurately interpreted, efficiently implemented, and fully compliant with all applicable federal, state, and local laws. The Human Resources Coordinator provides support to the HR department across a range of functions, contributing to the effective operation of the organization.

Essential Functions

1. Responsible for payroll processing and assisting with departmental training activities
2. Assist in the recruitment process for personnel at all levels
3. Arrange and coordinate new employee orientation sessions
4. Conduct exit interviews, where applicable, for all terminating employees
5. Maintain and report turnover statistics
6. Implement, coordinate, monitor, and support the delivery of training programs
7. Provide interpretations of corporate discipline policies and procedures to management personnel
8. Offer guidance and counsel to employees, group leaders, and management regarding in-house training, external courses, procedures, and benefits coverage
9. Establish and maintain up-to-date, confidential employee files
10. Maintain current organizational charts in accordance with established procedures
11. Ensure enforcement of safety policies and procedures
12. Interface with agencies such as Worker’s Compensation, Unemployment Insurance, EEOC, and others as required
13. Ensure accurate and timely updating and calculation of Time and Attendance records
14. Ensure full compliance with the company’s quality system within the scope of responsibilities
15. Ensure adherence to all applicable federal, state, and local regulations related to Human Resources functions
16. Foster a workplace atmosphere that supports an “open door” policy to enhance employee communication and satisfaction
17. Perform other related duties as assigned
Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment
This position operates primarily in an office and manufacturing environment. The role routinely involves the use of standard office equipment, including computers, telephones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.
While performing job duties, the incumbent may frequently be exposed to moving mechanical parts within the manufacturing area. The noise level in the manufacturing environment is typically moderate.
Physical Demands

While performing job duties, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee frequently stands, walks, uses hands to grasp small objects, handles materials, feels, and reaches with hands and arms.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Standard work hours are Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Overtime and weekend work may be required based on job demands.
Travel
This position requires travel up to 10% of the time. Travel is primarily local during the business day; however, occasional out-of-town and overnight travel may be required based on business needs.
Required Education and Experience
1. Associate’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Social Science, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
2. Over two (2) of experience in human resources, including exposure to recruitment, onboarding, and employee relation
3. Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
4. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Preferred Education and Experience
1. Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Social Science, or a related field
2. Experience with payroll and benefits administration
3. Familiarity with HRIS and ERP systems, particularly SAP and ADP
4. Knowledge of employment law, HR compliance, and recordkeeping requirements
