What are the responsibilities and job description for the Advanced Quality Tech position at YAPP USA AUTOMOTIVE SYSTEMS INC?
- Assures processes and procedures adhere to Quality standards per the company's Quality System and specifications as outlined on the Control Plan.
- Preparing Quality reports by collecting, analyzing, summarizing data, and taking the necessary actions to eliminate Quality risks associated with non-conformities.
- Analysis of non-conformance scrap data and definition of action plans to eliminate reoccurrence.
- Monitors the effectiveness of plant systems and processes (poka yoke, operator work standard, process parameter verification, etc.)
- Identifies and assures the implementation of Customer-specific requirements.
- Creates prototype, pre-launch, and production control plan to assure that product complies with Customer requirements.
- Verifies compliance with Process Control Plan (Audit & report any deviation).
- MES (Manufacturing Execution System) database maintenance.
- Supports with prototype builds and ensures approvals, paperwork and identification is compliant with Customer requirements.
- Performs product audits and requests action plans for audit findings.
- Initiates and leads Supplier Quality issues impacting tank and Customer assembly locations.
- Ensure all assigned mechanical maintenance jobs and/or projects are performed accurately, and in a timely manner.
- Coordinate and oversee the installation of plant machinery and equipment.
- Assist with ongoing projects and the maintenance of tools, equipment, and machinery.
- Make recommendations for improving Quality control methods.
- Update Control plans, PFMEA’s, Work Instructions, Quality Alerts, Process Alerts, Max/Mins, Lay outs, and visual management of the facility
- Performs other related duties and responsibilities, on occasion, as assigned.
- Authority to stop shipment and stop production to correct quality problems.
Required Education and Experience
- Knowledge of IATF16949 Requirements
- Working knowledge or experience with AIAG Customer Core Tools (APQP, PPAP, MSA, SPC and PFMEA)
- Knowledge of Problem Solving Process (Problem description, Identify/establish a cross functional team, Problem Description, Containment, Root Cause analysis, Corrective Action selection, Implementation of corrective actions, Implementation of Preventive actions and team recognition).
- Problem Solving Techniques/Tools (examples: 8 Ds, 5Why’s, Cause and Effect ,5W/2H Analysis, Concentration diagram, BOB WOW, DOE, Fault Tree Analysis, Pareto Chart)
- Understanding of Lean Manufacturing Principles (Define value, Value Stream, Create Flow, Establish Flow, Pursue perfection).
- Familiarity with Major Automotive Company Web Sites; examples: General Motors, Ford, Stellantis, VW, Nissan, Volvo, John Deere, etc.
- Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
- 2 -3 years of experience in an Automotive Industry.
- Microsoft Office.
