Location: Ashburn and Chantilly, VA
Schedule: Part-time, flexible hours
Program Duration: September to June

Regular Class Timings

Ashburn: Fridays, 6:00 PM – 7:00 PM
Chantilly: Sundays, 2:30 PM – 3:30 PM

Weekday After-School Classes

Additional after-school teaching opportunities may be available Monday through Thursday, 2:30 PM – 3:30 PM.

Seasonal Additional Hours

February to May: Saturdays, 2:00 PM – 3:30 PM
August to December: Mondays, 5:30 PM – 8:00 PM

We are looking for enthusiastic and responsible Part-Time Robotics Teachers / Instructors to teach hands-on robotics and STEM classes for elementary and middle school students.

This is a great opportunity for high school students, college students, professionals, or robotics enthusiasts who enjoy working with children and want to gain teaching, mentoring, and STEM education experience.

Responsibilities

The instructor will be responsible for:

• Teaching beginner to intermediate robotics concepts using age-appropriate activities
• Helping students build, program, and test robot models
• Supporting students during robotics challenges and team activities
• Encouraging creativity, problem-solving, teamwork, and confidence
• Assisting with class setup, cleanup, and student engagement
• Providing occasional updates on student progress

Preferred Qualifications

Ideal candidates should have:

• Candidates should have some programming experience in Scratch, Python, Block Coding.
• Interest or experience in robotics, coding, engineering, or STEM
• Experience with LEGO Robotics, FIRST LEGO League, VEX, or similar platforms
• Prior participation in or coaching of FIRST LEGO League competitions is highly preferred
• Comfort working with children in a classroom or small-group setting
• A reliable, patient, energetic, and professional attitude
• Ability to commit to weekly classes during the school year
• Ability to undergo Criminal and other background verifications as necessary

Compensation

This is a compensated part-time teaching opportunity. Hourly compensation will be provided based on experience and role responsibilities.
