The Canvas Venue is Chicago’s newest luxury event venue, featuring an elegant indoor space and outdoor garden. We specialize in high-end weddings, social events, and corporate experiences.
Role Description
We are seeking a personable, organized, and reliable Venue Director. This individual will oversee and enhance the client’s experience from the very first inquiry through in-person tours and event day support, ensuring exceptional service at every stage. The ideal candidate has a passion for the luxury event industry, strong communication and organizational skills, and the ability to build lasting client relationships.
This is a full-time, in-office position located at our Wheeling headquarters and may require occasional evening and weekend hours when events are scheduled.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage client communication, scheduling, proposals, floorplans, contracts, and venue details
- Oversee the clients journey from initial inquiry and tour to contract signing and event day.
- Manage CRM systems (lead collection, tracking, follow-ups, and documentation)
- Coordinate with industry partners ensuring smooth communication and execution
- Event day attendance (may include weekends & evenings) to help oversee set-up, client needs, and logistics
Qualifications
- Previous experience in the luxury events or hospitality industry preferred
- Outstanding organizational and time management skills
- Excellent verbal, written, and computer skills
- A proactive, energetic attitude and genuine passion for events
Schedule
- Monday–Thursday: 10:00am–6:00pm
- Friday: 10:00am-4:00pm
- Evenings and weekends as required based on event schedules
