Overview
Yankee Point Marina is a full-service marina that provides slippage, dry storage, and comprehensive maintenance and technical services for sailboats and powerboats. Located in the Northern Neck region near Lancaster, Virginia, Yankee Point is a family-owned small business dedicated to our customers and providing exceptional service.
We are currently seeking a part- to full-time Accountant to assist with the daily duties required to manage the finances of the marina. We are looking for someone who is detail-oriented, likes to work autonomously, and wants to grow their career as an Accountant in a small business environment.
Core Responsibilities
· Process vendor bills and payments in the accounting system
· Assist with collection of accounts that are past due
· Perform reconciliations for multiple bank and credit card accounts
· Perform analyses on costs, expenses, and revenue items
· Contribute to improving the accounting processes and procedures
· Ensure accuracy and compliance of data
Key Qualifications
· Bachelor's Degree preferred (B.S. in Accounting preferred)
· Prior experience with Accounts Payable (A/P) processes
· Hands-on experience in a general accounting role with financial responsibilities
