Job Title: Concrete and Soil Lab Manager
SUMMARY
The Laboratory Manager supervises engineering testing technicians involved in performing lab and field testing. In addition, the Lab Manager reviews technicians’ reports prior to being forwarded to the Senior Engineer for final review and signature.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- BS in Civil Engineering and 3 years’ experience in materials testing and inspections
- Candidates, without a degree in Civil Engineering, with 7 years’ experience performing various asphalt, earthwork, concrete, masonry, cement, and aggregate testing, both in the field and in the laboratory will be considered.
- Inspection experience with batch plants and field placements.
- Strong knowledge of AASHTO, ASTM and MassDOT procedures and specifications. Must be qualified by governing authority (AASHTO, ASTM and/or MassDOT) for specific tests.
- Must be a motivated individual with excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Preferred: Radiation Safety Certification (Troxler or APGNA)
- Preferred: ACI Concrete Field Level I Certification
