Oral Surgical Assistant / Office Administration
We are looking for a reliable Surgical Assistant/ Surgical Technician / Front Office Assistant who can be responsible for performing daily office tasks such as answering phones, scheduling appointments, balancing the schedule for maximum utilization of the surgeon's time, patient check-in, patient check-out, insurance & billing tasks, verifying insurance prior to appointment, confirming appointments, filing, recording, maintaining records, copying, posting, and other similar duties, using a computer terminal, typewriter, and other office forms or systems. Applicants must be familiar with Excel, Word and have a desire to perform tasks related to public relations and marketing...including social media.
This Assistant should be familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within private practice or similar experience (medical or dental). This position requires the ability to organize and prioritize multiple task and assignments to support and maintain an even patient flow and provide a pleasant experience for our patients. Must contribute to the team’s effort and assist in creating a harmonious environment. The ideal candidate will be competent in prioritizing and working with little supervision. They will be self-motivated and trustworthy. The assistants ensure smooth running of our company’s offices and contributes in driving sustainable growth.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate office activities and operations to secure efficiency and compliance to company policies
- Work efficiently with other administrative staff and divide responsibilities to ensure performance
- Manage phone calls and correspondence (e-mail, letters, packages etc.)
- Support budgeting and bookkeeping procedures
- Create and update records and databases with personnel, financial and other data
- Track stocks of office supplies and place orders when necessary
- Submit timely reports and prepare presentations/proposals as assigned
- Assist colleagues whenever necessary
Skills
- Proven experience as an office administrator, office assistant or relevant role
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills
- Familiarity with office management procedures and basic accounting principles
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office and office management software (ERP etc.)
- Qualifications in secretarial studies will be an advantage
- High school diploma; BSc/BA in office administration or relevant field is preferred
Successful Surgical Assistants or Surgical Technicians candidateswill have additional responsibilities.
Duties can include, but not limited to:
- Airway management
- Vital signs monitoring
- Stocking supplies
- Assisting the doctor during surgery
- Setting up and cleaning rooms
- Sterilizing instruments
- Stocking rooms
- Assisting with consultations
- Taking x-rays
- reviewing and developing X-rays
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $28.00 per hour
Expected hours: 36.0 – 46.0 per week
