Job Description
High School Graduate or Equivalent
Area of Study: 2-year apprentice program at Community College helpful.
1-3 Minimum Years of Experience within the automotive industry.
Preferred Qualifications
- Troubleshoot problems with injection molds.
- Repair, fix and implement engineering changes of molds.
- Develop and implement corrective and preventative actions.
- Make fixture details.
- Communicate with outside vendors when outsourcing.
- Work with various departments to implement customer concerns.
- Ensure the effective implementation of TS 16949 standards.
- Ensure safety and housekeeping standards are maintained.
- Follow the safety rules, report safety problems and all injuries, regardless of severity.
- Ensure plant safety and 5S housekeeping standards are maintained.
- Use analytical problem solving.
- Understand injection molding processes, molded part feasibility and tool build/design.
- Experience with injection molding equipment, robotics, and auxiliary equipment.
- Proven mechanical aptitude for problem solving.
- Experience with various injection molding tool technologies (e.g. RPT, Aluminum, P-20, mold max, cooling and turbulent flow, tool shot, mold behind, in-mold formed laminates).
High School Graduate or Equivalent

- Equivalent work experience may also be considered for certain positions.
1-3 Minimum Years of Experience within the automotive industry.
Preferred Qualifications
- 1-3 years or more experience in injection molding tool and process
- Completion of formal apprenticeship program resulting in a Journeymen Level Tool and Die Maker.
