Sr. Electrical Estimator

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Electrical Estimator to join our dynamic construction team. Duties

• Prepare detailed electrical estimates for a variety of construction projects, including commercial, industrial, and infrastructure developments.
• Review project plans, specifications, and contract documents to develop precise cost analyses.
• Utilize estimating software such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam to create comprehensive bids and proposals.
• Conduct thorough quantity take-offs, pricing labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs with accuracy.
• Collaborate with project managers, clients, and subcontractors to negotiate terms and refine estimates for optimal project outcomes.
• Monitor project costs throughout the bidding process and adjust estimates as needed to maintain competitiveness and profitability.
• Ensure all estimates comply with relevant codes such as NEC (National Electrical Code) and adhere to safety standards and contractual obligations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree
• 5 years of experience in construction estimating with a focus on electrical systems; prior electrical or construction site experience is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of NEC standards, construction management practices, and contract administration.
• Proficiency with estimating tools including BIM, digital takeoff tools and other ndustry-standard software.
• Excellent negotiation skills to secure favorable terms with clients and subcontractors.
• Demonstrated ability in cost control, pricing strategies, and project management principles.
• Solid understanding of electrical systems design, installation processes, and construction site operations.
