What You Will Be Doing
As the Climate Solutions Technician within the Power/Air/HVAC division at Yancey Power Systems, you will use your skills to perform jobsite installations as well as minor repairs on equipment in a safe and professional manner. You will be responsible for safely operating the delivery vehicle and installing HVAC equipment at customer locations.
Primary Responsibilities
To be successful in this position you should be organized, show an attention for detail and a sense of urgency. You should have basic computer skills, safety conscious and the willingness to learn. The ability to multitask, problem solve and provide superior customer service are essential to this position as well.

What You Will Be Doing
As the Climate Solutions Technician within the Power/Air/HVAC division at Yancey Power Systems, you will use your skills to perform jobsite installations as well as minor repairs on equipment in a safe and professional manner. You will be responsible for safely operating the delivery vehicle and installing HVAC equipment at customer locations.
Primary Responsibilities
- Minor repairs, maintenance checks and the cleaning of equipment
- Report equipment condition before and after usage.
- Demonstrate equipment for customers.
- Assist with the loading and unloading of equipment.
- Willingness to be on an “on call” rotation for 24/7 emergency service.
- Participate in required safety program, and work in a safe manner.
- Additional duties as assigned by manager.

Education/Experience
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Basic knowledge with repairing and maintaining HVAC equipment preferred.
- Mechanical aptitude including knowledge of tools applicable to position.
- Superior customer service, teamwork and verbal/written communication skills.
- Ability to quickly adapt to change.
- Attention to detail.
- Problem solving and multitasking.
- Safety conscious and customer focused.
- Be self-driven and take pride in your work.
- Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
- Yancey required Safety Training and Annual recertifications.
- This position requires tools the company does not provide. Employees must have the tools to perform the jobs assigned.
- Ability to frequently lift items up to 45 lbs.
- Field Service: May be subject to extreme weather conditions including but not limited to extreme heat, cold, rain, snow, and ice. Equipment, tools and job site may be very loud requiring hearing protection. Environment may include vibrations, strong odors, moving mechanical parts, exposure to electrical shock, flammable liquids and gases, oils and solvents, working on platforms or equipment over 4 feet from the ground. Appropriate PPE maybe required and mandated by Yancey Bros. Co. or the customer.
