Job Overview
YANA Caregiving, LLC, a Virginia-licensed non-medical home care agency, is seeking an experienced and highly organized Registered Nurse (RN) to serve as Administrator. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing clinical operations, managing client intake and assessments, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting caregiver training and performance.
The ideal candidate is a compassionate and detail-oriented nursing professional with strong leadership experience in home care or a related healthcare setting. This individual will play a critical role in maintaining the quality of care, ensuring compliance with Virginia Department of Health regulations, and supporting the growth and operational excellence of the agency.
Duties
Clinical Oversight & Client Care
- Conduct initial client intake, assessments, and ongoing care evaluations
- Develop and review individualized care plans based on client needs
- Ensure services are delivered in accordance with physician orders (if applicable) and agency standards
- Monitor client progress and adjust care plans as needed
- Serve as a clinical resource for caregivers and administrative staff
Compliance & Regulatory Management
- Ensure compliance with all Virginia state licensing regulations and standards for non-medical home care agencies
- Maintain up-to-date policies and procedures in accordance with state and federal guidelines
- Prepare for and participate in audits, inspections, and licensing reviews
- Ensure proper documentation, recordkeeping, and confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations
Staff Management & Training
- Verify and maintain caregiver credentials, including CNA certifications, background checks, and required documentation
- Develop and conduct orientation and ongoing training programs for caregivers
- Provide supervision, performance evaluations, and coaching to caregiving staff
- Ensure caregivers are competent in delivering assigned services and following care plans
Operations & Leadership
- Collaborate with leadership to improve operational efficiency and service delivery
- Assist with scheduling coordination as needed to ensure appropriate staffing
- Support business development efforts by participating in community outreach and partnership opportunities
- Address client concerns, complaints, and incidents in a timely and professional manner
- Provide strategic leadership for nursing staff and clinical operations, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and regulatory standards
- Oversee patient care delivery across various departments, including acute care, senior care, hospice, emergency medicine, ICU, PICU, and assisted living facilities
- Supervise nursing teams by mentoring staff, managing schedules, and fostering professional development through training and performance evaluations
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations, medical records management, EMR/EHR systems utilization, and medical terminology accuracy
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams on case management, utilization review, budgeting, and quality improvement initiatives
- Maintain oversight of nursing home experience requirements such as MDS (Minimum Data Set) assessments and resident care plans
- Lead efforts in risk management by conducting audits, incident investigations, and implementing corrective actions
Requirements
- Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the Commonwealth of Virginia
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Minimum of 3–5 years of nursing experience, preferably in home care, geriatrics, or community health
- At least 2 years of supervisory or management experience
- Strong knowledge of Virginia home care regulations and compliance requirements
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Extensive critical care experience including ICU (Intensive Care Unit), Level I Trauma Center experience, or emergency medicine settings such as OR or Level II trauma centers
- Proven supervisory or nurse management experience within assisted living, hospice care, hospital medicine or home care environments
- Strong knowledge of healthcare management principles including budgeting, utilization management, case management, and compliance standards such as HIPAA
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems and medical records documentation processes
- Excellent understanding of medical terminology and clinical protocols across diverse specialties like senior care and acute care settings
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams while ensuring high-quality patient outcomes
