Duties
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately to process transactions quickly and efficiently
- Handle cash, credit, and debit card payments with precision and integrity
- Assist customers with product inquiries, including product demos when applicable
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, restocking supplies as needed
- Upsell products and promote store promotions to enhance sales opportunities
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing questions, resolving issues, and ensuring satisfaction
- Support merchandising efforts by stocking shelves and organizing displays for optimal presentation
Requirements
- Previous cashiering experience in a retail or grocery store environment is preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems and basic math skills for handling transactions and cash balancing
- Strong communication skills with the ability to provide friendly phone etiquette when assisting customers remotely or over the phone
