Yamaha has an excellent opportunity for a Technical Advisor & Instructor to join our Marine team in Kennesaw, GA. In this role, you will provide timely and effective technical and administrative support to outboard dealers and Yamaha outboard retail customers. You will also deliver instructor-led training to marine technicians on a rotating schedule from September through May. This position requires strong technical expertise and a broad understanding of advanced marine technologies.

What You'll Be Doing
- Retrieve inbound phone calls from Automatic Call Distribution (ACD) that are offered by Yamaha Outboard dealers.
- Document precisely, the required retail customer and dealer contacts, within the Seibel call management program.
- Provide advice and assistance as requested from another Technical Specialist.
- Provide warranty authorizations and claim assistance to Marine dealers.
- Assist with the arbitration of dealer and retail customer requests, including the authorization of customer assistance.
- Interface with other Marine Group personnel as needed to assist in the decision-making process for determining product assistance.
- Evaluate dealer request for field service assistance and forward request to regional service manager as requested.
- Develop and instruct training courses in the classroom and lab environment (i.e., delivery, testing, grading and reporting). Maintain safety and security of classroom, lab facilities and training aids / engine simulators.
- High School Diploma or equivalent Marine industry Service certifications; Associate degree is preferred.
- Minimum 3 - 5 years of Marine industry retail or service experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) with the ability to effectively navigate and utilize computer systems and business applications.
- Proven track record of delivering high-quality customer service while resolving technical issues within a dealership, another division of Yamaha Motor Corporation, or a boat manufacturer preferred.
- Demonstrated strong administrative and written communication skills.
- Experience developing and delivering training materials in a classroom setting is preferred.
