Position Summary
Job Responsibilities:
Bill Of Material Planning:
- Schedule and coordinate flow of work within or between departments of manufacturing plant to expedite production.
- Distribute work orders to departments denoting number, type, and proposed completion date of units to be produced.
- Confer with department supervisors to determine progress of work and to provide information on changes in processing methods.
- May expedite material.
Job Responsibilities:
- Plan, schedule and control day-to-day production of assigned Assembly lines and coordinate other related functions that support Assembly.
- Distribute work orders to departments denoting number, type and proposed completed date of units to be produced.
- Enter all necessary data or requirements for planning schedules, ordering production assembly parts, raw and packing materials, or other related materials as needed.
- Control end unit serial numbers and other manufacturing control numbers related to planning day-to-day production.
- Works with new model team, ME's or QE's to assist coordination of activities such as: rework, material trials, new product or part trials and any other activities that require scheduling input.
- Maintain and monitor day-to-day production to ensure all due dates are met and create necessary month end reports.
- Serve as the primary focal point for communication concerning scheduling guidelines, requests for schedule changes, and recommendations for improvements to the planning and scheduling practices and procedures.
- Attend, chair meetings concerning production, material, shipping and PSI and perform other related duties as assigned.
Bill Of Material Planning:
- Work with Purchasing, PD and ME to develop manufacturing Bill of Material (BOM) and enter into PYMAC Audit and maintain accurate BOM and enter data into N-Base and communicate with YMC about revision controls
- Enter outside process orders into PYMAC and SAP Chair monthly cross functional Engineering change meetings and the schedule and execute any revisions necessary.
- Minimize obsolete inventory - dispose of as necessary Attends, chair meetings concerning production, material, shipping and PSI.
- Create daily schedules and other necessary planning functions to support CKD packaging production
- Chair meetings to lead, define project scope, and communicate new business projects and planning activities
- Serve as the liaison between YMC and Sales to adjust CKD and strategic inventory volumes.
- Maintain, publish and communicate SCM-CKD requirements
- Communicate with other planning functions, Divisions, and YMC, sharing / obtaining necessary information to control new business, SCM-CKD, and strategic projects necessary to meet business requirements.
- Creates daily schedules and other necessary planning functions to support assembly production.
- Chair meeting to lead, define project scope and communicate new business projects and planning activities.
- Serve as the liasion between YMC and Sales to adjust CKD, assembly production and/or strategic inventory levels.
- Maintain, publish and communicate assembly line requirements.
- Communicate with other planning functions, Divisions and YMC sharing/obtaining necessary information to control new business, SCM-CKD assembly production and strategic projects necessary to meet business requirements.
- Responsibilities will include but not limited to: Assisting in the training, auditing, and the coordinating/planning of work/production schedule.
- This position will also assist the Supervisor in ensuring that each department is set up correctly and operating within the stated process control specification, resolve urgent shop Quality, Downtime, Materials, or Safety issues, ensuring/enforcing/auditing/promoting safety, quality, standardized work sequence, process control, 5S, Lean Mfg., and Kaizen.
- This position will be interchangeable with the continuous improvement lead
- Education / Experience:
- 0-2 years experience, or equivalent in Production Control or progressive advancement in a manufacturing environment.
- High school or GED required
- Excellent personal computer skills and knowledge of mainframe MRP/CRP computer systems.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills within a team based environment.
