Lamination Associate

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Reads, interprets, understands and efficiently performs multiple lamination operations by following work instructions, safety guidelines and other organizational policies, procedures, and rules.
• Laminates layers of fiberglass on molds to form boat decks and hulls.
• Sprays chopped fiberglass, resins, and catalysts onto prepared molds or dies using pneumatic spray guns. The Laminator will press layers of saturated mat or cloth into place on molds, using brushes or hands, and smoothes out wrinkles and air bubbles with hands or squeegees/rollers.
• Completes Total Productive Maintenance responsibilities in order to maintain equipment and minimize downtime. Maintains wet out system, cleans tools, and disposes of chemicals in proper areas.
• Follows established assembly processes and does not deviate without proper

Minimum Educational And Work Qualifications

High school diploma or GED preferred. One or more years of assembly experience in a heavy manufacturing environment. Reading/comprehension, speaking and writing in English at 9th grade equivalency level. Ability to complete written forms, read routine procedures and correspondence.

Environmental and Working Conditions

Works in all areas of organization. Working environment is characterized by loud noises and general production conditions. Conditions may be hot and humid; manufacturing building is not air conditioned and is subject to seasonal temperatures.
