Responsibilities
Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible for maintaining facility and related equipment in focus area.
- Install, modify and repair manufacturing machines and equipment, plant support equipment, facility structure and grounds.
- Troubleshoot maintenance and process problems and developing preventive/corrective actions, as needed.
- Support manufacturing to achieve safety, productivity and quality targets and support Kaizen initiatives.
- Must maintain and improve 5S (sort, set in order, shine, standardize, sustain) and TPM (total productive maintenance) activities.
- Support equipment downtime reduction initiatives.
- Work with others in a team environment.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Good hand-eye coordination required
- Must interact positively and effectively with co-workers, subordinates, and supervisors
- Enough physical ability to perform moderate to heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs. repeatedly); standing and walking for prolonged periods of time; climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, working overhead and operating motorized equipment.
- Strong technical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently without supervision.
- Flexibility to handle multiple and changing priorities.
- High School Diploma or GED (General Education Diploma) required.
- 3 years minimum electrical and/or mechanical experience working in a manufacturing environment with hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanics required.
- Basic computer skills required, including Microsoft Office suite (Word, PowerPoint and Excel).
- Welding and fabrication experience, preferred.
- Welding and/or electrical certification preferred.
