Summary
- Responsible for assisting the Department and Division Manager in establishing and maintaining necessary objectives and metrics for the efficient function of the Human Resource Department while preparing strategic plans for key areas within the department.
- The Department Manager – Human Resources will also manage day to day plant operation activities and HR department functions.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
Manage Day To Day Plant Operation Activities Including
- Strategic planning of performance management activities
- Reviewing and administering corrective actions
- Managing status change approvals
- Responsible for employee relation activities and supervisory / management support
- Responsible for managing the FMLA/disability process through the 3 rd Party Vendor
- Creating and supporting talent strategies
- Strategic planning of recruiting activities; to include the review of the job post/bid process and the onboarding process
- Management of temp staffing through the coordination of task with necessary agencies
- Management reporting and analysis of HR metrics
- Investigation of legal claims: litigation, EEOC or other claims submitted
- Other company related activities.
- Responsible for Policy Development and adherence to HR Compliance activities
- HR Department budget planning and execution
- Assist with the planning of Department MBO initiatives
- Assist with the coordination of functions within the HR Department while ensuring compliance with all company policies and government regulations.
QUALIFICATIONS :
Education / Experience
- Bachelors Degree in Human Resources or Business.
- 10 years HR experience in recruiting, policy development, training, employment, and employee relations.
- 5 years management experience implementing new initiatives and strategies
- Ability to analyze data, present findings to leadership and provide direction on process improvements
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Ability to lift to 15 pounds
- Intermediate skill in Microsoft programs
