Responsibilities

- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sushi station in accordance with health and safety regulations
- Manage inventory levels of seafood, rice, seaweed, and other ingredients to ensure freshness and availability
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate meal preparation and ensure timely service
- Educate team members on proper sushi preparation techniques and presentation standards
- Uphold strict food safety standards, including proper handling of raw seafood and sanitation practices
Experience
- Proven experience as a Sushi Chef or similar culinary role specializing in Japanese cuisine
- Extensive knowledge of sushi ingredients, techniques, and presentation styles
- Culinary experience with a focus on seafood preparation and knife skills
- Familiarity with food safety regulations related to raw fish handling and storage
- Experience working in fast-paced restaurant environments with excellent time management skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while maintaining attention to detail
- Prior experience in teaching or mentoring junior kitchen staff is a plus
