Yalla Market is looking for a friendly, reliable, and energetic Cashier / Front Counter Associate to join our team. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, staying busy, and helping create a great experience for our customers.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers with a positive and welcoming attitude
- Take customer orders accurately and efficiently
- Process transactions using the POS system
- Manage Uber Eats, DoorDash, and other online delivery orders
- Ensure orders are prioritized correctly and delivered accurately
- Keep the dining area clean, organized, and presentable
- Maintain clean and stocked restrooms throughout the day
- Keep cutlery, napkin, and condiment stations fully stocked
- Restock market shelves and merchandise as needed
- Check product expiration dates and rotate inventory properly
- Refill and maintain dessert displays
- Answer phone calls & take phone orders
- Keep glass displays, windows, and customer-facing areas clean
- Assist customers with questions regarding menu items and products
- Work closely with the kitchen and front of house team to ensure smooth operations
Closing Duties
- Sweep and mop dining areas
- Clean and sanitize restrooms
- Restock stations and supplies for the next shift
- Ensure the restaurant and market are clean, organized, and ready for opening
Qualifications
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Reliable and punctual
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs
- Restaurant, cashier, or retail experience is a plus but not required
Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
