The instructor will plan, develop, and present organized learning opportunities for students in accordance with approved course outlines in topics such as Tai Chi, low impact cardio, balance and strengthening, fall prevention,

Responsibilities
- 1. Instruct and lead on proper exercise techniques to maximize results.
- 2. Prepares for classes by setting up appropriate equipment, checks class rosters, and brief participants about class.
- 3. Records attendance and keeps detailed notes about class. This includes any special instructions or modifications made to accommodate any additional needs and follow up with participants who missed classes.
- 4. Monitors participants safety and provides assistance to participants as needed.
- 5. Maintains a friendly, positive and encouraging attitude with participants.
Qualifications
EDUCATION
Minimum requirement high school diploma or GED. Bachelors in science or related field.
EXPERIENCE
Previous teaching experience in group settings and one on one desirable.

SPECIAL SKILLS
Excellent communication skills to interact with their students, other instructors and staff members. Maintains currency in subject matter domain and an awareness of current trends and recent research achievements within the discipline. Serves as a positive role-model for students. Creates a learning climate of mutual respect and fairness.
PHYSICAL DEMAND
Ability to perform tasks involving physical activity which may include extensive bending and standing.
