Manages individualized, goal directed nursing care through use of the nursing process and the principles of primary nursing in accordance with departmental and hospital policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• 1. Essential Functions
• 1.1 Assesses and diagnoses patient and family needs in order to provide quality care to cardiac rehab patients.
• 2. Essential Functions
• 2.1 Assesses client compliance with risk reduction when on duty.
• 3. Essential Functions
• 3.1 Performs all responsibilities/duties required by the rehab team as defined in the scope of service, to ensure that the unique nature of the client is addressed.
• 4. Essential Functions
• 4.1 Records and reports any unusual occurrences and adapts situation for patient benefit.
• 5. Essential Functions
• 5.1 Operates assigned equipment and performs all procedures in safe manner as instructed.( Glucometer, Oxygen, pulse ox, AED, Suction)
• 6. Human Resources
• 6.1 Demonstrates respect and regard for the dignity of all patients, families, visitors, and fellow employees to ensure a professional, responsible and courteous environment.

Qualifications

EDUCATION

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.BSN preferred.ACSM certification preferred.

EXPERIENCE

Three years experience in Cardiac Rehab. Coronary Care desired.

LICENSURE

RI License required.ACLS certification required. BLS required
