About Yala
Yala is a fast-growing halal restaurant serving burgers, cheesesteaks, wings, loaded fries, seafood, sandwiches, and our popular Dirty Sodas. We are looking for energetic, friendly, and dependable cashiers who can provide excellent customer service while keeping the front of the restaurant clean, organized, and welcoming.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers and take orders accurately
- Operate the POS system and handle cash, credit card, and mobile payments
- Prepare and serve Dirty Sodas according to Yala recipes and standards
- Answer customer questions about menu items and specials
- Package orders accurately for dine-in, takeout, and delivery
- Maintain a clean and organized front counter area
- Clean and sanitize tables, chairs, beverage stations, and dining areas throughout the shift
- Restock cups, lids, straws, sauces, and other front-of-house supplies
- Assist with opening and closing duties
- Work closely with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service
RequirementsRequired:
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Friendly, positive, and professional attitude
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Reliable transportation and punctual attendance
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
Highly Preferred:
- Previous cashier, restaurant, or customer service experience
- Experience using a POS system
- Experience preparing specialty drinks or beverages
- Ability to multitask during busy rush periods
- Strong attention to cleanliness and organization
