Position Summary

Leads the Clinical Engineering (CE) function and sets the strategic direction for a multi-hospital regional health care system including all ambulatory sites, urgent cares and clinics. This position has budget input for Imaging equipment and other biomedical equipment across the MultiCare Health System Enterprise. Manages, coordinates and governs all functions as to provide standard operating processes and procedures, policies, regulatory compliance, purchasing, safety testing, repair and maintenance of electronic communication and biomedical patient care equipment. Provides training and technical leadership to appropriate patient care personnel regarding equipment operations, standards, maintenance, and repair reporting processes. Provides financial control as well as quality control. Provides direct supervision of clerical and technical staff.

Requirements

Associates degree

Bachelor’s degree preferred

Completion of Biomedical Technician Program, Electronics, or IT related education program

Two years in a supervisory or lead capacity.
5 years of experience in clinical engineering or IT related health care experience. Can be substitued with education.

Pay and Benefit Expectations

We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $96,838.00 - $139,333.00 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant’s years of experience align.
