We are seeking a full-time Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our team at MultiCare Yakima Memorial Hospital and provide inpatient psychiatric care for adults with co-occurring medical and mental health needs. For more information, please contact Colleen Lohrasbi at colleen.lohrasbi@multicare.org #LI-CL2 Position Summary The inpatient psychiatric ARNP is responsible for evaluating, diagnosing, and directing treatment for adult patients with psychiatric disorders admitted to acute inpatient level of care.Responsibilities • Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients 18 years or older with acute psychiatric disorders requiring inpatient hospitalization • Conduct suicide and violence risk assessments • Formulate and implement comprehensive and evidence-based treatment plans • Prescribe and monitor psychotropic medications • Order laboratory tests as indicated • Manage acute behavioral emergencies with behavioral and pharmacologic interventions • Lead treatment team meetings and coordinate activity of the interdisciplinary team, including primary care providers, social workers, RNs, and other team members • Consult with primary care providers and other clinicians to facilitate evaluation and treatment of medical conditions • Collaborate with Social Workers and Court Evaluators to assess readiness for discharge and formulate discharge plans • Document in the electronic medical record Requirements • A graduate degree from an advanced nursing education program accredited by a national nursing accreditation body recognized by the United States Department of Education. • An active Washington state RN license, without sanctions or restrictions • State NP license • Current CME hours to maintain licensure • Adult Psychiatry and/or Lifespan Certification of Completion from the American Nurse Credentialing Center or the American Association of Nurse Practitioners • Registration capability with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services • An active Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) license • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification About Yakima Memorial Hospital MultiCare Yakima Memorial Hospital has served the Yakima Valley since 1950. Pay and Benefit Expectations We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $151,000.00 - $165,000.00 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant’s years of experience align.
