Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Preschool Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a commitment to fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children. This role involves educating preschool-aged children, implementing developmentally appropriate curricula, and promoting social, emotional, and cognitive growth through engaging activities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement lesson plans that align with early childhood education standards.
• Create a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment conducive to learning.
• Educate children on various subjects including basic literacy, numeracy, and social skills.
• Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress and development.
• Manage classroom behavior through positive reinforcement and effective classroom management techniques.
• Provide individualized attention to students as needed, including those requiring early intervention strategies.
• Conduct standardized testing as required to assess student progress.
• Collaborate with other educators and staff to enhance the educational experience.
• Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in childhood development.

Qualifications

• Education requirements: HS Diploma, Initial certificate (12 credits), Short certificate (20 credits) or equivalent.
• Must be 21 years of age or older and at least 1 year experience as a lead teacher.
• Experience working in child care settings or private schools is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of childhood development principles and age-appropriate teaching methods.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with children, parents, and colleagues.
• Familiarity with strategies for supporting diverse learning needs.
• Ability to manage a classroom effectively while fostering a positive learning environment.
• Certification required in CPR and First Aid, Food handlers, Child Care basics, and Blood borne pathogens.
• Required: TB Test and Fingerprint background check through Merit
