Key/Essential Functions & Responsibilities

  • Develops and executes YAI’s comprehensive multi-channel marketing strategy, focusing on digital platforms, print collateral and advertising to promote awareness of and engagement with YAI in collaboration with Senior Leadership Team, Advancement and other departments.

  • Leads brand strategy development, ensuring consistent execution across all marketing materials and platforms.

  • Oversees the production of all marketing materials, ensuring brand alignment, design quality and content accuracy.

  • Sets and monitors progress to ensure achievement of marketing goals related to social media engagement (paid and organic), email campaigns, website traffic and advertising performance.

  • Manages digital campaigns including paid social media, Google Ads, SEO and email marketing.

  • Regularly monitors, measures and analyzes the effectiveness of all marketing initiatives using tools such as Google Analytics, adjusting strategies to increase impact based on data insights.

  • Supervises and mentors staff including Senior Digital Marketing Manager, providing clear direction, feedback and professional development opportunities, ensuring appropriate management of concerns and performance and timely completion of related status, timekeeping and other requests or approvals.

  • Coordinates with other departments, including Advancement, YAI Knowledge, Human Resources and others, and with YAI affiliates to support their marketing needs and help them achieve department-specific goals.

  • Ensures all copywriting and content development reflects brand standards and attention to detail to support consistency in messaging, materials and collateral organization-wide.

  • Develops and maintains organized processes for marketing production, approvals, timelines and project management.

  • Prepares regular reports and presentations on marketing metrics for senior leadership, providing data-driven insights and making recommendations for adaptations or new and improved strategies.

  • Conducts market analysis to identify challenges and opportunities for growth.

  • Plans and manages marketing budgets, forecasts and timelines in collaboration with Senior Director of Communications and CMCO.

  • Leads go-to-market strategies for brand campaigns.

  • Evaluates and manages vendor relationships and marketing platforms.

  • Attends events and visits programs across areas of service in support of organization-wide or other targeted marketing campaigns and initiatives.

  • Performs all other duties, as assigned.

Minimum Qualification Requirements including education, experience, licensure/certification, etc. and essential physical capabilities (e.g. lifting, assisting lifting, standing, etc.)

  • Bachelor’s degree; and

  • Ten (10) years of related marketing experience including development, monitoring, evaluation and data-driven adjustments of multi-channel/cross-functional strategies and digital marketing campaigns involving email, social media, SEO/SEM and Google Analytics, which includes or is supplemented by at least five (5) years of managing and developing staff; or

  • Satisfactory equivalent combination of education, experience and/or training.

  • Demonstrated expertise in brand strategy and execution, including overseeing creative design and content production.

  • Strong experience monitoring, measuring and analyzing marketing initiatives and adjusting strategies based on data.

  • Sharp eye for design and visual best practices and attention to detail, as well as hands on experience using marketing analytics to drive results.

  • Strong planning, organizational, problem-solving and decision-making skills, including the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities to meet deadlines and to make thoughtful and strategic decisions in line with the overall vision and mission of YAI.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including strong copywriting and content development skills.

  • Ability and willingness to leverage AI to support digital marketing strategies and content development.

  • Proficiency with computers, electronic systems, Internet and web interfaces, including Microsoft Office Suite and ability to quickly learn and use related systems (Workday, Salesforce, etc.) and common office equipment to complete essential tasks.

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including occasional evening and/or weekend hours for program visits and/or events.

  • Ability to report on-site to our Manhattan office at least three (3) days per week in accordance with the Agency’s Return to Office Policy and to travel to program sites and YAI events across the New York City metropolitan area and to other areas serviced by YAI or its affiliates, as needed/requested.

  • Ability to meet essential physical demands of position including using hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; sitting for extended periods and standing, lifting and/or carrying files or documents weighing up to 10 pounds, as needed.

Preferred Qualification Requirements ( desired requirements beyond MQRs above)

  • Prior experience in a marketing agency or creative firm.

  • Familiarity with accessibility standards in digital marketing and design.

  • Proficiency with marketing automation tools, such Salesforce or similar platforms.

  • Experience with graphic design and/or video production.

Schedule: Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm

Salary range is $105,000-$125,000
