Job Overview
We are seeking an EXPERIENCED, passionate and dedicated Infant/Toddler Teacher to join our early childhood education team. The candidate must have a strong background in childhood development including at least 6 months experience in a childcare center, an ative fingerprint card and a genuine love for working with young children. This role involves creating a nurturing and stimulating environment that promotes the social, emotional, and cognitive development of children age 0-5.
Duties
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that foster learning and creativity.
- Create a safe, welcoming, and engaging classroom environment for children.
- Monitor and assess children's progress, providing feedback to parents and guardians.
- Utilize effective classroom management techniques to maintain a positive learning atmosphere.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the educational program and share best practices.
- Provide individualized support to children with special needs or disabilities.
- Engage in daily activities including storytelling, arts and crafts, music, and outdoor play.
- Maintain records of children's development and behavior management strategies.
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns.
Requirements
- Proven experience working with young children in a preschool or childcare setting.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education practices and classroom management.
- First aid certification is preferred; training may be provided.
- Familiarity with special education practices is a plus.
- Ability to work effectively with children with disabilities or special needs.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with children, parents, and staff.
- Experience in caregiving roles such as nannying or babysitting is beneficial.
