Yacht Club of Stone Harbor is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Part-Time Bookkeeper to support the Club’s day-to-day accounting and financial operations. This is a steady, year-round role working closely with our Controller to ensure accurate records, smooth transactional processing, and strong internal controls across multiple departments.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working independently, stays organized, and takes pride in accuracy and follow-through. Experience in hospitality, private clubs, or multi-revenue environments is helpful, and familiarity with JONAS is a plus (but not required).

Schedule: 2–3 days per week
Pay: $25–$28 per hour
Reports to: Controller
What You’ll Be Doing
Daily POS closeout and reconcile sales reports with receipts across key revenue streams (as assigned)
Process Accounts Payable including invoice entry, coding, routing for approval, and payment preparation
Maintain Accounts Receivable records and assist with member and event payments and weekly deposits
Enter general ledger journal entries and support month-end closing activities
Assist with bank and credit card documentation and reconciliations
Monitor member accounts, ensure correct billing entries, and support follow-up on outstanding balances
Reconcile event deposits, charges, and settlements in coordination with the Events Department
Maintain organized digital and physical filing systems for financial documentation and vendor records
Support vendor compliance including collecting W-9s, updating records, and assisting with year-end 1099 preparation
Help track expenses by department/function to support reporting and planning
Provide administrative support to the Controller on accounting tasks and projects as needed
Payroll Support Responsibilities
Assist with collecting and verifying department timecards and tip allocations
Support PTO tracking, seasonal staff schedules, and payroll recordkeeping
Coordinate with the Controller to prepare weekly payroll and confirm accuracy before processing
Maintain strict confidentiality with payroll information and documentation
Tax and Compliance Support
Assist the Controller with documentation needed for payroll tax, sales tax, and other filings
Maintain clean, organized records for audits, reviews, or inquiries
Support compliance with federal, state, and local requirements through accurate bookkeeping practices
What We’re Looking For
Prior bookkeeping or accounting experience required
Strong understanding of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and general bookkeeping
Comfort working independently while following structured accounting processes
High accuracy, organization, and attention to detail
Professional communication skills when working with staff, vendors, and members
Strong Excel and general office software skills
Accounting software experience required; JONAS is preferred but not required
Work Environment / Physical Requirements
This is primarily a desk-based role requiring extended time working on a computer, reading and reconciling financial data, and meeting time-sensitive deadlines related to payroll, payables, and month-end tasks. This role requires on-site presence at the Club.
Pay: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour
Expected hours: 16.0 – 25.0 per week
