Reports to: Senior QC Manager
Responsibilities
- Managed and developed the sanitation and pest management program.
- Developed and reviewed sanitation SSOP, Master Sanitation Schedule (MSS).
- Maintain the relationship with 3rd party pest service provider. Main point of contact for PCO.
- Coordinate all sanitation activities to accomplish sanitation practices according to Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOP’s) and maintain detailed records and follow ups on all sanitation related activities and issues such as deficiencies, violations, and corrective actions.
- Lock out, dismantle, clean, and sanitize production equipment in accordance with standard operating procedures.
- Improve sanitation process to comply with city guidelines to manage the wastewater system.
- Lead the sanitation team and ensure adherence to schedules, best practices, safety procedures for handling equipment and chemicals.
- Survey premises for tasks that need immediate attention and schedule necessary labor.
- Conduct daily sanitary inspections and report any irregularities before collaborating with management to implement any corrective actions to ensure compliance.
- Conduct inventory of all sanitation supplies and report any necessary replacements and refills.
- Observe all safety rules and promote a safe working environment with team members.
- Maintain strict GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices).
- Compliance with all rules & policies regarding health safety, occupational safety, environmental safety, food safety, legal regulations, company requirements, etc.
- Compliance with the Company's Integrated Management Systems which includes, but is not limited to Production, Quality, Food Safety & GMP.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED Certificate.
- 5 years of experience working in a sanitation environment. Food manufacturing industry experience is preferred.
- Minimum 2 years’ of experience managing a team.
- Detailed knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safety protocols, and the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA).
- Skill in organization, analysis, time management, prioritization, and the ability to meet deadlines for multiple tasks.
- Proficient computer skills, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel), and instructional software.
- Commitment to continuous improvement and quality of support and service.
- Good interpersonal skills and communication skills to interact with all levels of management.
- Excellent leadership, team building, and management skills to mentor and lead staff.
