Treatment Director

Job Title: Treatment Director

Responsible for overseeing daily operations of the 245G treatment program, delivering programming and staff administration, coordinating with staff and clients to address crises and ethical issues, and carrying out other managerial duties as assigned by management. The Treatment Director will have leadership skills and be able to guide professionals through obstacles they face with clients and other professionals. The Treatment Director must be knowledgeable in all aspects of substance use disorder and have an understanding of mental health disorders that impact clients. The Treatment Director models behaviors and expectations set forth on staff and the program at large.

Job Responsibilities:

• Oversee 245G treatment program and clinical functions in relation to program development and staff training.
• Treatment Director will report to the CEO.
• Develop a plan to move the program in a direction that aligns with the mission statement.
• Provides leadership and guidance to staff through modeling professional conduct and ethics.
• Develop staff trainings and education to improve overall program fidelity and improvements.
• Empowers the leadership team and provides support as needed to all staff.
• Oversees annual reviews, evaluation, and management of goals and responsibilities of staff keeping in line with program expectations and development.
• Maintains positive relationships with community partners and providers.
• Remains aware of clinical standards and changes to keep the program in compliance with government expectations and standards.
• Oversee all written annual reviews of staff.

Education/Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in behavioral health field.
• Must know and understand the implications of 245G, sections 245A.65, 626.557, and 626.5572.
• Experience in crisis intervention and de-escalation skills.
• Strong leadership and people skills.
• Experience working with high-risk clients and responding effectively in all situations.
• Experience in program development, implementation of curriculum, reinforcers, and support.
• Working with community partners in collaboration to ensure best possible outcomes for clients.

Required Qualifications:

• Ability to work with multidisciplinary teams and model professional standards.
• 3 years working in substance use disorder treatment center with at least 1 or more years of direct service or management/administration of direct service.
• 3 years working at the leadership level.
• Ability to perform the 12 core functions of counseling.
• 2 years free from problem substance use behaviors.
• Complete a DHS background study.
• Understanding and ability to implement MN Rules & Statutes 626.557, 626.5572, 245A, 245G & 260E.

Degree of Authority

The Treatment Director shall report directly to the CEO.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $33.00 - $40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
