As the Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring product quality throughout the manufacturing process, with a focus on quality assurance and quality control. The Quality Engineer directly impacts departmental operations and requires planning and execution within established functional practices and procedures. Job Description Roles and Responsibilities: Quality Ownership: Lead both quality assurance and quality control efforts, ensuring conformance in manufacturing processes, incoming goods inspections, product evaluations, and witness points Process Improvement: Develop and implement strategies to enhance product quality and manufacturing processes, leveraging technical expertise and prior experience Technical Expertise: Build in-depth knowledge of quality engineering principles and apply this expertise to execute policies and strategies that drive continuous improvement Cross-Functional Collaboration: Understand key business drivers and integrate quality initiatives with other teams to support overall operational goals Problem Solving: Use analytical thinking and technical skills to identify and resolve quality-related issues. Propose solutions outside of standard parameters, when necessary, with guidance Leadership and Development: Act as an individual contributor or early-stage people leader, providing informal guidance to team members and supporting talent development Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university (or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of Quality Engineering and/or Manufacturing Quality experience) At least an additional 3 years of Quality Engineering and/or Manufacturing Quality experience Desired Characteristics: Humble: respectful, receptive, agile, eager to learn Transparent: shares critical information, speaks with candor, contributes constructively Focused: quick learner, strategically prioritizes work, committed Leadership ability: strong communicator, decision-maker, collaborative Problem solver: analytical-minded, challenges existing processes, critical thinker GE Aerospace offers comprehensive benefits and programs to support your health and, along with programs like HealthAhead, your physical, emotional, financial and social wellbeing.
