Job Description Summary The Lead Production Quality Specialist reports to the GE Lafayette Plant Leader and works in a self-directed teaming structure. This role is responsible for quality assurance and quality control in the LEAP Assembly operation at Lafayette. Job Description Essential Responsibilities Utilize FLIGHT DECK tools to drive quality improvements Ownership includes both quality assurance and quality control. Includes quality assurance of products, services, manufacturing processes. Includes conformance in manufacturing, incoming goods control, product inspection, witness points, etc. Advocate for and lead proactive quality improvement projects (focused on predictive quality); Responsible for interfacing with customers; Drive and support successful internal and external audits; Has knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others; Support and coach self-directed teams to achieve program/business objectives; Serve as subject matter expert for site wide decision making process in councils; Ensure operational alignment with site quality KPIs; Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 4 years of experience in quality 3 years of manufacturing experience Desired Characteristics Humble: respectful, receptive, agile, eager to learn Transparent: shares critical information, speaks with candor, contributes constructively Focused: quick learner, strategically prioritizes work, committed Leadership ability: strong communicator, decision-maker, collaborative Problem solver: analytical-minded, challenges existing processes, critical thinker GE Aerospace offers comprehensive benefits and programs to support your health and, along with programs like HealthAhead, your physical, emotional, financial and social wellbeing.
