Job Description Summary Job Description Job Tasks May Include: Set up and operate a range of manufacturing/fabrication-related tools and equipment, including assembly fixtures, orbital welder, forming, cutting, cleaning, brazing, marking, etc. to produce hardware that meets close tolerance requirements Utilize a variety of precision gages, inspection measuring tools, and fixtures to conduct both mechanical and visual inspections of products and hardware. Identify and manage the processing of quality-related nonconforming and noncompliant products and materials, including the Preliminary Review quality process. Foster a collaborative work environment by actively participating in cross-training initiatives and promoting teamwork to enhance overall team performance and flexibility. Clean and organize the work area to maintain a safe, efficient, and compliant environment. Adhere to 5S principles (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain) to promote workplace organization and continuous improvement. Perform related environmental, health, safety, maintenance, quality, continuous improvement, and production-flow job duties to support plant machinery, equipment, and manufacturing-related initiatives and programs. Strong commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement in all operations. Attend shift crossover and other business required meetings when applicable. Participate in training duties as required. Minimum Qualifications High School diploma/GED with a minimum of 6 months of experience in a technically related field such as manufacturing, fabrication, or mechanical engineering; OR Associates Degree or Bachelors Degree in a technically related field such as manufacturing, fabrication, or mechanical engineering Desirable Qualifications Possess a technical certification in a relevant field (i.e. aerospace engineering, mechanical systems, etc.) that demonstrated specialized knowledge and proficiency in industry-standard tools, technologies or methodologies. Set up, operate and maintain machines, manufacturing, and fabrication tools and equipment to ensure optimal performance and efficiency. This includes calibrating machinery, troubleshooting issues, performing routine maintenance and adhering to safety and quality standards to support production goals Performing essential mathematical calculations to ensure accurate measurements and alignments, utilizing precision gages, fixtures, and inspection measuring equipment to verify tolerances and dimensions. Interpreting blueprints, detailed sketches, engineering specifications, and technical drawings to analyze requirements, determine appropriate setups, and plan operations necessary for completing job tasks with precision and efficiency Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles, including waste reduction, process optimization, and continuous improvement methodologies Exhibits excellent communication skills to facilitate teamwork, resolve conflicts, and ensure alignment of production needs Show capability in adhering to guidance and supervision, following work rules, safety practices and procedures, while meeting deadlines and maintaining punctuality and attendance standards.
