Direct Support Professional- House Supervisor
Position Overview: The House Supervisor (HS) ensures the health, safety, and well-being of Y.E.S. The Arc members in the Residential Program. The HS supports members compassionately to help them achieve their life goals and supervises residential program employees, enforcing Y.E.S. The Arc policies and procedures. The HS embodies the philosophy that all individuals are capable of growth and learning, aiming to maximize members' independence.
General Duties:
- Respect and promote choice for members.
- Act as a role model and support members in daily living skills, personal hygiene, and recreational activities.
- Administer and document medications, assist with medical appointments, and maintain medical equipment.
- Perform housekeeping and minor yard work.
- Provide safe transportation and handle members' personal funds responsibly.
- Follow emergency procedures and complete shift change protocols.
- Attend mandatory meetings and training courses.
Supervisory Duties:
- Support and supervise residential employees, ensuring adherence to policies and procedures.
- Facilitate communication between the Residential Program and other agency programs.
- Develop and approve daily activities based on member choice.
- Assist in developing and monitoring member objectives and behavioral plans.
- Maintain records and ensure clean, safe residential environments.
- Conduct safety inspections, vehicle inspections, medication reviews, and fire drills.
- Supervise residential employees, enforce policies, and provide training and feedback.
- Maintain staffing schedules and cover shift vacancies as needed.
- Be available for urgent issues during scheduled time off.
Requirements:
Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 6 months as a Lead Direct Support Professional at Y.E.S. The Arc, or
- 1 year of supervisory experience with individuals with disabilities plus 90 days as a Lead DSP at Y.E.S. The Arc.

- Good typing and grammar skills.
Other Requirements:
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Flexible availability.
- Valid Arizona driver’s license and clean 39-month driving record.
- Able to pass drug and alcohol testing.
- Able to pass a Background check.
- Must be fingerprinted and eligible for an Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card.
- Physically capable of lifting/carrying 35 lbs, standing/sitting/kneeling for extended periods.
- Able to manage and de-escalate aggressive or volatile situations calmly and safely.
Schedule: 6:00 am - 8:30 am, 2:30 pm - 9:00 pm. 10-12 shifts on either Saturday or Sunday. Must be flexible and willing to cover shifts.
Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour DOE
