What You'll Do
- Provide detailed code compliance with safety inspections of elevators, dumbwaiters, lifts, and other vertical transportation equipment to ensure compliance with applicable safety codes, regulations, and industrial standards.
- Conduct visual inspections of fall-protection and rigging equipment to identify any signs of wear, tear, damage, or manufacturing defects.
- Ensure all components meet safety and performance standards before being released for use.
- Documents inspection findings accurately and report any issues that could impact equipment reliability.
- Maintain a consistent inspection scheduled to support a safety and compliant work environment.
- Upload records in SAP that demonstrate ongoing compliance and provide clear traceability for all inspections performed.
- Ensure documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and readily reliable for safety audits or regulatory review.
- Use these records to identify trends, recurring issues, or opportunities for improvement in equipment management practices.
- Support compliance efforts by communicating and finding promptly and helping implement corrective actions when necessary.
- Effectively present ideas and solutions to team members, stakeholders, and leadership in a clear and professional manner.
- Prepare and deliver presentations that convey information accurately.
- Actively participate in meetings and contribute insights and collaborate with problem-solving solutions.
- Ability to communicate complex topics into a concise manner that is understood by a diverse audience.
- Possess a strong computer proficiency including experience with SAP and other enterprise systems, as well as skills in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint).

- High school diploma: Minimum 10 years of relevant experience.
- OR Associate degree in related discipline: Minimum 7 years of relevant experience.
- In addition, the applicant must meet the requirements of DOE O 426.2A (i.e.,High School diploma; or a DOE O 426.2A alternative).
- Elevator technician with 5 years experience with elevator systems, components, and controls.
- QEI-1 Elevator Inspector through a certified organization or be able to obtain such certification.
- Proven experience performing installations, maintenance, repairs on elevators and vertical transportation equipment.
- Strong understanding of business process integration within SAP.
- Strong background, ensuring that safety materials and equipment meet regulatory, safety, and quality standards.
- Experience reading and interpreting technical blueprints, schematics, and diagrams with accuracy.
