What You'll Do
Facilitates improved decision making through a structured understanding of opportunities and threats across the full spectrum of the enterprise’s risk portfolio. Leads strategic and tactical risk integration efforts across six domains: internal controls, operations, project, programs, portfolios, and the enterprise. Analyzes, designs, and implements processes and predictive models using a wide variety of data sets. Gains insight into key business problems and deliverables by applying statistical analysis techniques to examine structured and unstructured data from multiple disparate sources. Collaborates across departments and with customers to define requirements and understand business problems. Uses advanced mathematics, statistical, querying and reporting methods to develop solutions. Develops information tools, algorithms, dashboards, and queries to monitor and improve business performance. Creates solutions from initial concept to full implementation and deployment across the enterprise. Effectively uses current and emerging technologies to perform assigned duties. Communicates results to a broad range of audiences, acting as a trusted business advisor to senior and executive staff.

Minimum Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Computer Science, Mathematics, or Physics discipline: Minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
- OR Master's degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Computer Science, Mathematics, or Physics discipline.
- Knowledge: Basic level of knowledge and experience applying technical principles, theories, competencies, and techniques of the Enterprise Risk Management specialty. Learning to apply knowledge in solving a wider range of complex technical problems.
- Scope & Complexity: Problems are technically complex and have known solutions which require some experience, judgment, and an understanding of technical competencies.
- Autonomy: Some autonomy to make independent decisions on narrowly defined tasks, projects or issues. Receives instructions on new assignments only. Discretion or judgment within the enterprise risk management job specialty is used to determine how to solve problems. Work is supervised for overall accuracy and quality of results.
- Impact: Impact of actions contribute to the success or failure of a significant project or the performance of a routine function.
- Interaction: Interacts and collaborates within and across groups. May provide guidance to others and exercise some persuasion and supervision to accomplish group or departmental goals. May communicate across work groups and with external contacts to represent the organization in providing solutions to difficult technical problems associated with specific projects.
Preferred Job Requirements
- Education: BS in Engineering/Science discipline: minimum 4 years of relevant experience. Normally requires a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, with typical engineering/science experience ranging from 6 to 10 years.
- MS: minimum 2 years of relevant experience PhD: no experience
- Knowledge: Knowledgeable of Enterprise Risk Management principles, theories, and concepts. Applies and demonstrates competencies in solving a range of complex problems. Learning to lead and manage complex projects across organizational units.
- Scope & Complexity: Problems are complex, diverse and impact the organization. Solutions require the selection of the best solution, from a range of possible solutions and development of some original solutions. Professional judgment and knowledge is required.
- Autonomy: Typically receives advice from co-workers or broad direction from senior managers. Uses considerable discretion and judgment to develop best approach to solutions.
- Impact: Impact of actions and/or decisions affect the success or failure of major projects and/or important organizational functions.
- Interaction: Interacts and collaborates frequently internally and externally to direct, persuade, lead and achieve departmental or organizational goals. Ability to guide work of professional staff.
