What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assembler position at Xymox Technologies?
Xymox is a custom designer and manufacturer of printed electronics, membrane switches, and ink technology sold to leading OEM’s in the medical, appliance, gasoline dispensing, high end industrial controls, instrumentation, and consumer electronics markets.
We are looking to hire an assembler with a positive attitude and a desire to learn to help us 'Enable the Power of Touch ®.'
Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of light assembly, set-up, simple machine operations, material handling and inspection operations for the purpose of making products to meet customer specifications.
- Hand edge assembly.
- Inspect parts using the Workmanship Criteria Manual.
- Accurately complete various records of work done.
- Utilize different equipment (laminator, berg connector, optical punch, hand roll, collaborative robot, etc) to assist in different assembly tasks.
- Make decisions about product quality using tools provided by supervisor and the quality department.
- Meet required productivity and quality goals set for the assembly team.
- Uses assembly techniques and/or fixtures to assemble and test parts to meet customer requirements.
- Work on corrective actions as assigned.

- Able to count, add, subtract, multiply and divide basic numbers.
- Able to use simple measuring devices.
- Ability to learn new things and be cross-trained
- Adheres to published work instructions, customer specifications and approved references.
- Good manual dexterity
- Able to follow instructions and take initiative to complete work.
- Demonstrates effective collaboration and teamwork with others and behaviors to get the job done.
- Shows competency by creating products with low defect rates, thereby demonstrating knowledge of how work is done.
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods of sitting (up to 6 hours at a time)
- Correctable vision to 20/20
- Manual Dexterity
Pre-Employment Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED desired
- Assembly experience
- Candidates must be a US citizen/Legal Permanent Resident and meet Xymox security standards as imposed by DoD, including the issuance of any necessary security clearance by the US government within a reasonable time after commencement of employment
