Duties and Responsibilities
What You Will Do
Sales & Administrative Support
- Provide daily administrative support to the Sales team.
- Route sales leads and calls to the appropriate managers.
- Assist with trade show preparation, travel calendars, follow-up, and entering notes into our CRM.
- Conduct phone outreach to help schedule appointments for sales missions.
- Support new business development and lead generation.
- Assist with client site inspections, familiarization tours (FAMs), and special event coordination.
- Attend local meetings and events to share the value of tourism in Lee County.
- Build and maintain relationships with hotels, attractions, vendors, and community partners.
- Work with international vendors and travel trade partners.
- Create presentations and sales materials using Canva and PowerPoint.
- Write and send quarterly e-newsletters for meeting planners and other markets.
- Produce simple video assets for the Meetings & Groups YouTube playlist and social media.
- Review and edit group marketing copy for meetings, travel trade, and weddings.
- Manage and update CRM and website content using Simpleview, Cvent, and Drupal.
- Maintain partner information on the Simpleview extranet.
- Create personalized conference landing pages for booked groups.
- Update meeting-related content on leevcb.com and meetinfortmyers.com.
- Use post-meeting surveys to collect feedback and testimonials.
- Compile data and reports as needed.
- Assist with planning and executing sales-related events, tours, and client activities.
- Support VCB events and special meetings such as Annual Meeting, E Awards, and Island Hopper Songwriter Fest.
- Help secure event venues and coordinate logistics.
Minimum Requirements
What We’re Looking For
- Any combination of education and experience equivalent to an Associate degree or two years of college in business, marketing, hospitality, or a closely related field, such as:
- Tourism or Travel Industry Studies
- Communications or Public Relations
- Event Management or Recreation Management
- Hotel & Resort Management
- Business Administration or Customer Experience
- Two (2) years of experience in hospitality, marketing, sales, or a similar field, including:
- Tourism or travel industry roles
- Event planning or conference services
- Customer service or guest relations
- Administrative support in business, marketing, or hospitality
- Work in hotels, resorts, attractions, or visitor-focused organizations
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Marketing, Business, or a related field.
- Experience in hotels, resorts, attractions, tourism, or Destination Marketing Organizations (DMOs).
- Marketing experience is highly desirable.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Excellent organization, multitasking, and attention to detail.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Canva, and CRM systems (Simpleview preferred).
- Ability to think critically, solve problems, and take initiative.
- Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to build strong relationships with partners and clients.
- Professionalism, integrity, and a positive attitude.
- Fluency in Spanish, German, or another foreign language is a plus.
