Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise daily store operations, ensuring high standards of customer service and sales performance
- Recruit, interview, and onboard new team members, fostering a positive employee orientation experience
- Manage inventory control, purchasing, merchandising, and stock replenishment to optimize product availability
- Oversee cash handling, cashiering procedures, and POS (Point of Sale) systems to ensure accuracy and security
- Develop and implement sales strategies, pricing plans, and marketing initiatives to boost store performance
- Conduct training sessions and coaching for staff on sales techniques, product knowledge, and customer service excellence
- Monitor store budgets, payroll processing, bookkeeping tasks, and shift management to maintain operational efficiency
- Maintain excellent communication with team members, customers, and vendors to resolve issues promptly and professionally
Skills
- Proven management experience in retail or boutique store settings with supervising responsibilities
- Strong negotiation skills for vendor relations and sales negotiations
- Excellent employee training & development capabilities along with interviewing expertise
- Multilingual or bilingual abilities are highly desirable for serving diverse customer bases
- Proficiency in inventory management software, POS systems, cash handling, and retail math
- Effective leadership skills with a focus on team management, motivation, and conflict resolution
- Exceptional organizational skills for scheduling, stock control, bookkeeping, and administrative tasks
- Knowledge of merchandising techniques, pricing strategies, marketing initiatives, and store presentation
- Ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently through time management and organizational skills
- Experience in retail sales environments such as grocery stores or specialty boutiques is advantageous
