About the Role
The Senior Manager, Human Resources, has a key role in enabling Human Resources to function both operationally and strategically. It is an ideal role for someone who thrives independently, is willing to “roll up their sleeves,” and acts strategically for a growing organization. You will focus on both operational excellence and strategic HR initiatives to support organizational objectives, enhance employee engagement, and cultivate a positive workplace culture.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement HR strategies, policy, programs aligned with organizational objectives, best practices and relevant laws.
- Serve as a Partner with workforce planning, change management, and implement initiatives to improve organizational effectiveness.
- Maintain all HR compliance for the site and adherence to labor laws, regulations, and perform periodic audits and maintain HR records.
- Handle employee relations matters, mediate conflicts, and provide coaching to foster a healthy, inclusive, and productive work environment.
- Develop and administer competitive salary structures and benefit programs, ensuring equitable and consistent practices. Handle benefits and compensation administration.
- Handle the full talent acquisition cycle, including sourcing, interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and paperwork, independently or through external partnerships.
- Execute performance appraisal systems, employee evaluations, and performance improvement programs.
- Provide guidance and support for employee engagement to staff support.
- Monitor HR metrics such as turnover, retention, and engagement levels, as appropriate.
- Support learning, talent management, and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) and other interventions, as required.
Preferred and Required Qualifications, Experience and Skills
- A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws, HR best practices, and compliance requirements.
- A minimum of six (6) years of progressive HR knowledge. Manufacturing and pharmaceutical experience is preferred.
- Experience in a unionized environment is a plus.
- A minimum of one year of direct or indirect people’s management is strongly preferred.
- The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, entrepreneurial and think outside of the box.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for collaboration with employees and senior leadership.
- Demonstrated ability in problem solving, conflict resolution, and coaching.
- Demonstrated aptitude to build HR processes, resources, and structures.
- Intermediate Excel Skills (Pivot Tables, LOOKUP).
- SHRM-SCP or a SPHR certification is strongly preferred.
Pay range and compensation package
Salary Range: $110,000 to $150,000
Eligibility to participate in the Company’s bonus program, which is variable and based on business and performance results. This position is also eligible for participation in the Company’s comprehensive benefits program (medical/dental/vision), PTO, and retirement saving program participation and Company matching. The salary range listed is an anticipated annual base salary or hourly range for this position. The offered salary depends on multiple factors, including skills, experience, education, and geographic location.
