Analyzes firewall configurations, access rules, and overall network/security architecture for County departments, identifying vulnerabilities, weaknesses, and staff skills gaps relative to current IT security practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Review firewall diagnostics, rule sets, and configurations for security gaps.
- Evaluate network segmentation and overall security architecture against best practices.
- Assess IT security staffing and skills gaps, quantifying time spent on security matters and shared IT/security responsibilities.
Required Qualifications
- 5 years of network security architecture or firewall review experience.
- Strong knowledge of enterprise firewall platforms (Palo Alto, Cisco, Fortinet, or equivalent).
- CCNP Security, JNCIP-SEC, or equivalent certification.
- Experience conducting IT security staffing/skills-gap assessments.
