Job Title: Kitchen Suppression Technician
Job Summary
Join our team as a Kitchen Suppression Technician and play a critical role in keeping commercial kitchens safe and compliant. This position focuses on kitchen fire suppression systems and inspections and service of portable fire extinguishers. You’ll perform inspections, service, and repairs on wet chemical systems in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.

Responsibilities
- Inspect, service, and maintain kitchen fire suppression systems in accordance with NFPA standards and manufacturer specifications
- Perform semi-annual inspections and system testing per NFPA 17A requirements
- Inspect and service portable fire extinguishers in accordance with applicable NFPA standards
- Diagnose and repair system deficiencies, including replacing nozzles, fusible links, detectors, and control components
- Ensure systems are properly tagged, compliant, and fully operational
- Complete detailed service reports and maintain accurate documentation
- Communicate findings and recommendations clearly with customers and internal staff
- Maintain company vehicle, tools, and inventory
Qualifications
- Experience servicing or inspecting kitchen suppression systems
- Experience in fire protection, hood cleaning, or related field is a plus
- Working knowledge of NFPA standards (especially NFPA 17A and 96)
- Mechanical aptitude with basic low-voltage electrical knowledge
- Ability to work independently and manage a daily service schedule
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
