Electrical Maintenance Technician - Manufacturing

Mission of the role & responsibilities

The Electrical Maintenance Technician supports the Flexographic Sleeves Department by maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems on production equipment including CNC machines, lathes, ovens, saws, and filament winding machines. Equipment primarily uses Siemens and SEW controls. This role helps ensure reliable equipment performance, reduces downtime, and supports production and engineering teams through preventive maintenance, technical problem‑solving, and continuous improvement.

• Perform electrical maintenance on production equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair motors, drives, PLCs, and related systems.
• Complete preventive maintenance, inspections, calibrations, and part replacements.
• Diagnose malfunctions and implement timely corrective actions.
• Work with production and engineering teams to resolve electrical issues.
• Install, configure, and program new equipment per code and standards.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and spare‑parts inventory.
• Support safety, reliability, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Train production staff on basic preventive maintenance tasks.
• Coordinate with facilities for building-related repairs and external contractors.
• Perform on‑call weekend support as scheduled.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certifications or trade school preferred.
• 3–5 years of electrical maintenance experience in a manufacturing/industrial environment.
• Experience with Siemens machinery and programming strongly preferred.
• Ability to read electrical schematics, diagrams, and manuals.
• Proficient with electrical tools, diagnostic equipment, and general production machinery.
• Knowledge of flexographic or sleeve‑manufacturing equipment is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and teamwork orientation.
• Able to work independently and proactively identify tasks.
• Basic to intermediate computer skills.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and lift up to 50 lbs independently (up to 200 lbs with assistance/mechanical hoist).
• Strong communication skills.

Pay: $28.00 - $35.00 per hour
