Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide personalized assistance to meet their needs
- Educate customers on product features, benefits, and proper usage through engaging demos
- Manage point-of-sale (POS) transactions accurately while handling cash and card payments with care
- Upsell products by identifying customer preferences and recommending suitable options to enhance their experience
- Maintain organized merchandising displays and ensure products are stocked, rotated, and presented attractively
- Follow phone etiquette standards when answering inquiries or assisting remote customers
- Ensure compliance with all legal regulations regarding age verification and product sales
- Support inventory management by stocking shelves, conducting stock counts, and assisting with merchandise replenishment
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills to foster a welcoming environment for diverse customers, including bilingual support when applicable
Qualifications
- Previous experience in cannabis dispensaries
- Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures required
- Ability to perform basic math calculations quickly and accurately for transactions and inventory counts
- Strong communication skills with a professional phone manner and active listening abilities
- Bilingual proficiency is highly desirable to serve a diverse clientele effectively
- Knowledge of retail merchandising, stocking techniques, and product demos is beneficial
- Must be at least 21 years old (or as per local legal requirements) with reliable work ethic and positive attitude
