Description
AIM or MISSION: The mission of this position is to assemble prefabricated parts into a high quality aluminum boat according to factory specifications and work orders assuring safety, durability and overall customer satisfaction.
DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES/EXPECTATIONS:
- Live and Promote Company Values
- Ability to read a tape measure.
- Ability to change wire properly.
- Ability to fix backlash/bird nest of wire in machine.
- Ability to assess gun functions.
- Knowledge of proper temperature settings
- How and when to change tips.
- Ability to identify excessive need for tip replacement.
- Flow meter/ regulator/orifice Understanding.
- Proper start up and shut down procedures.
- Do not unplug machines without lead/ supervisor approval.
- A consistency score. This will evolve to parameters. ( Live arc)
- Spacing, Buildup, penetration understanding.
- Ability to meet cycle times with acceptable quality on beginning MIG positions.
- Adherence to PPE policy per department standards.
- Welds prefabricated aluminum parts according to work orders using mig or tig welder.
- Utilizes tools and measuring instruments to position and align parts to assemble a good quality boat.
- Set-up and operate mig or tig welder.
- Fosters a culture of safety by adhering to safety policies and procedures.
- Participates in improvement efforts by input, feedback, and displaying willingness to adapt to change.
- Cleans and maintains an orderly workplace.
