Are you an experienced diesel mechanic who would rather work in the field than stay inside a shop all day?

Xpress Auto & Diesel is growing, and we're looking for a skilled Mobile Diesel Mechanic / Heavy Equipment Technician to join our team.

This is an opportunity for a technician who enjoys troubleshooting, working independently, and taking on a variety of jobs. You'll operate from a fully equipped service truck and travel to customers throughout our service area to diagnose and repair trucks, trailers, fleet vehicles, diesel equipment, and heavy machinery.

WHAT YOU'LL WORK ON

Our mobile technicians handle a wide variety of equipment, including:

• Medium- and heavy-duty diesel trucks
• Commercial fleet vehicles
• Trailers
• Construction equipment
• Heavy equipment and machinery
• Agricultural equipment
• Diesel engines and related systems

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Diagnose diesel, electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical problems in the field
• Perform mobile repairs and preventative maintenance
• Diagnose no-start, derate, electrical, fuel, cooling, and emissions issues
• Repair brakes, suspension, steering, engines, cooling systems, and other components
• Perform DOT-related truck and trailer repairs
• Service and repair heavy equipment
• Communicate findings and repair recommendations clearly
• Accurately document repairs, labor, and parts
• Keep your service truck, tools, and work area organized
• Represent Xpress Auto & Diesel professionally at customer locations

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

We're looking for a mechanic who can diagnose problems—not just change parts.

The right technician should have:

• Professional diesel repair experience
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
• Experience with medium- or heavy-duty trucks
• Ability to work independently in the field
• Electrical diagnostic experience
• Good communication and customer-service skills
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
• Basic hand tools
• Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic

Experience with heavy equipment, hydraulics, trailers, fleet maintenance, diesel diagnostics, Cummins, Power Stroke, Duramax, Caterpillar, Detroit, or similar platforms is a major plus.

Pay: $35.00 - $50.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
